You might be able to ready a grapple attack (action), Misty Step (bonus action), and try to grapple (reaction) within the rules.
Reactions are quicker, notably Feather Fall is cast as a reaction while you're already falling.Falling up to 500 feet is treated as instant in the rules, so you couldn't make a grapple attack with your action.
